About Double Seven Ranch
Double Seven Ranch is a family owned and operated Hereford ranch that is located outside of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. We feel God has truly blessed us to own and operate this ranch. It was started in 2007 while Reggie was still playing in the MLB with the LA Angels. We joke all the time that when we bought our first land and cattle, we didn't even own a pick up. Well...that joke is true, we didn't. We have a passion for Herefords though. All of our kids are heavily involved with the ranch and now, so is our new daughter in law, Abigail. For 8 years Reggie coached for the Yankees. That is when Amber quit her teaching job to solely focus on building the ranch and keeping it going. Reggie is still coaching baseball, but he is much closer now (University of Oklahoma). Keeping this ranch going is a lot of work by our entire family and long hours most people never see, but we love what we do and feel blessed to do it as a family.
We have an extensive embryo transfer program that we utilize almost 12 months a year. We own about 70 recips ourselves and these cows never see a bull. We use AI a lot, but with our current situation we are excited about some of the new and fresh genetics that are being produced right here at Double Seven Ranch. We get fired up everytime we or another breeder breeds a cow with that 77 prefix. Our main focus has always been buidling females that the industry desires and we are excited for people to see the bull power that is being produced from those breeding decisions. These bulls are the building blocks to our MATERNAL POWER.
We are currently hosting 2 sales a year at our sale facilty at our ranch. On the second Saturday of November we host our Big Leaguie Genetics Female Sale and on the last Monday in February we host our Hereford Heritage Bull Sale. We look forward to welcoming each of you in person at the ranch. If you ever have time to come by in person, we'd love to see you and show you around!
